Former Metro Players lead the Bruins

A trio of former Metro players led Salt Lake Community College to a 65-62 road win over North Idaho.   Ex-Metro (Avalanche) player Shordy Mulford broke the school record for three pointes, Michelle Pace put up a double double and Keisha Catten lit it up off the bench.

The school record for made three point shots in a women’s game at laceName w:st="on">SaltlaceName> laceType w:st="on">LakelaceType> laceType w:st="on">Community CollegelaceType> was six. Shordy Mulford (sophomore, West Valley City, UT) broke it tonight creating just enough room for the Bruins to come away with a win against conference opponent North Idaho Cardinals, 65-62.

Mulford drained seven threes of just eleven attempts while leading her team with 22 points. Michelle Pace (freshman, Salt Lake City, UT) posted a double-double scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds and Keshia Catten (freshman, Murray, UT) came off the bench to put in 10 points in the victory.

The Bruins rack up their conference win loss record to 8-2 and move to 16-4 overall. The 21st ranked women will travel again next weekend to Ephraim, UT to take on the Snow College Badgers in more Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
