Salt Lake Metro's Candace Smith has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Westminster College next year.
Candace averaged 15 ppg, 10 reb and 4 ast as she was named 1st Team All-State for 2A and received MVP honors in the 1A/2A All-Star Game. Smith also shot 90% from the line. Off the court, Smith will fit right in at Westminster as she was a Region Sterling Scholar, Student Body President, a member of the National Honor Society and already holds an Associates Degree.
Congratulations Candace on your scholarship. Her signing brings the total number of 2007 Girls Metro players that have received scholarships to 12.
