Former Metro player John Clifford has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Southern Utah University next year.
Clifford, a 6-10, 210-pound center from South Jordan (Bingham HS), Utah, averaged 6.7 points and 4.9 rebounds for the Snow College Badgers last year. Although he had just six starts he was still able to rank eighth in the SWAC in blocks at 0.5 per game and was 14th in rebounding.
Congratulations to John on his scholarship. John's signing brings the total number of Boys Metro players that have received scholarships in 2007 to 11.
