6-10 Lone Peak's Justin Hamilton has been selected as the #3 Center on the West Coast by Scouthoops.com
Justin was ranked No. 6 at the start of the summer. He's the fourth Metro player to receive top-10 center recognition by scouthoops.com in the last five years.
Justin is a great example of believing in himself and working hard. Justin routinely would attend our workouts many times driving up after having attended his high school workouts. Last year as a junior, Justin played almost exclusively on the JV team for Lone Peak. Justin scored 4 points all last season for Lone Peak's varsity usually only getting in late in a game with a lead. Rather than allowing this to bother him, Justin continued to work on his game. His hard work and perseverance paid off handsomely. This spring, he attended the Pittsburg JamFest with our team. After his performance there against many of the top players in the country, Justin was no longer unknown.
Justin is currently on his fourth (of five allowable) recruiting visit to big-12 school, Iowa State. He previously visited Pepperdine, St. Mary's and Weber State, all of which have offered him scholarships.
Justin's hardwork continues to allow him to improve. We expect major contributions from him at Lone Peak this year and at whatever college he chooses to continue his career at. He also is an excellent student.
