Mandy Munns (Fittie) verbally committed to sign a letter of intent with the University of Utah.

Mandy averaged 13.6 pts, 7.7 rebs  and 2.5 blocks per game last season for Box Elder High while leading them to a 19-4 record. Mandy has led Box Elder in rebounding for the past three seasons.

Among Mandy's basketball honors are the following:

2007 Salt Lake Tribune 4A First Team All State
2007 Deseret Morning News 4A Second Team All State
2007 Standard Examiner First Team

Mandy will join former Metro player Halie Sawyer as a Ute at the University of Utah.

Congratulations to Fittie on your scholarship.  She is the third player in the class of 2008 to commit to a d-1 school. Her commitment brings the total number of 2008 Girls Metro players that have received scholarships to 3.
