Justin Hamilton has verbally comitted to Big 12 member, Iowa State. Justin will sign a letter of intent with the Cyclones in November.

Last year as a junior, Justin played almost exclusively on the JV team for Lone Peak.  Justin scored 4 points all last season for Lone Peak's varsity usually only getting in late in a game with a lead.  Rather than allowing this to bother him, Justin continued to work on his game.

This spring, he attended the Pittsburg JamFest with our team, Salt Lake Metro. After his performance there against many of the top players in the country, among them a 6-9 PF ranked no. 30 in the nation that committed to Florida, Justin was no longer unknown.

His play  led Justin to be ranked as the # 6 Center on the West Coast by Scouthoops.com at the start of the summer.  He ended the summer period ranked as the #3 Center on the West Coast by Scouthoops.com.

Congratulations to Justin on your scholarship.  He is the first player in the class of 2008 to commit to a d-1 school.  His commitment brings the total number of 2008 Boys Metro players that have received scholarships to 1.
