3 of our Metro players that play for Lone Peak are receiving national attention. (again!)
The following is the national ranking reprinted from USAToday.com.

Super 25: Oak Hill Academy starts season on top

1. Oak Hill Academy, Mouth of Wilson, Va. (40-1)

2. Duncanville, Texas (39-0)

3. St. Patrick's, Elizabeth, N.J. (30-2)

4. Montverde (Fla.) Academy (30-0)

5. St. Anthony, Jersey City (28-1)

6. St. Benedict's, Newark, N.J. (24-1)

7. Montrose Christian, Rockville, Md. (22-3)

8. Norcross, Ga. (29-3)

9. Lincoln, Brooklyn, N.Y. (26-6)

10. Mater Dei, Santa Ana, Calif. (33-4)

11. Rice, New York City (27-4)

12. St. Edward, Lakewood, Ohio (25-1)

13. Fairfax High, Los Angeles (28-5)

14. Saginaw, Mich. (25-1)

15. Archbishop Mitty, San Jose, Calif. (29-6)

16. LeFlore, Mobile, Ala. (32-3)

17. Simeon, Chicago (33-2)

18. Mount Vernon, N.Y. (24-5)

19. Whitney Young, Chicago (22-9)

20. Chester, Pa. (28-6)

21. Taft, Woodland Hills, Calif. (20-4)

22. Helen Cox, Harvey, La. (36-4)

23. Wheeler, Marietta, Ga. (22-7)

24. Dominguez, Compton, Calif. (26-7)

25. Lone Peak, Highland, Utah (24-1)

Starters returning: 3. Outlook: The Knights are led by junior 6-5 SG Tyler Haws (19 ppg) and a senior trio that will be playing Division I basketball next year — Utah-bound 6-7 SF Josh Sharp, 6-7 PF Bracken Funk (12 ppg, 9.0 rpg), a Fresno State signee, and 6-11 C Jordan Hamilton, who's headed to Iowa State. Will play a beefed up schedule that could include a meeting with St. Anthony. Next: Nov. 30 vs. El Dorado (Las Vegas).

One correction to their story is that it is Justin Hamilton (not Jordan).  Tyler is considered one of the top prospects in the country and is currently ranked 4th on the West Coast by Scouthoops.com, another national internet recruiting site.  Another Metro player not mentioned in the story is Nate Austin who is considered the top post prospect in the state.  Also they open the season against Provo on November 20.

Congratulations to Lone Peak (and our Metro players) on their national ranking.
