ROCHESTER, Mich., Dec. 8 – Geoff Payne scored a career-best 32 points and pulled down 11 rebounds Saturday night to spark Southern Utah to an 82-73 win at Oakland. The win snapped a six-game Thunderbird losing streak and evened SUU’s Summit League record at 1-1 (2-7 overall). Oakland fell to 4-5 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
