C.J. WILCOX, Pleasant Grove, basketball: As expected, the Vikings are off to an impressive 4-0 start, and the play of this junior is a big reason why.

Wilcox is averaging 27.0 points per game, good for second in the state just a few weeks into the season.

Last Monday in a game played at EnergySolutions Arena, Wilcox scored 34 points in a 67-59 win over West Jordan. A few days later, he poured in another 31 in a 92-60 rout of Riverton.

He's one of four adept scorers on the team, which should make for an exciting year for the Vikings.

"Honestly, these kids couldn't care less how many points they score this year. They just want to keep teams as low as possible," said Pleasant Grove coach Randy McAllister.
