Biggest sports thrill: “When the University of Utah offered me a scholarship.”
Best advice I’ve ever received: “Never give up. Keep working.”
Last Week: Munns poured in 20 points for the 6-0 Bees in a 55-38 victory over Bear River last Tuesday and then dropped in another 15 as Box Elder defeated Orem 42-33 on Saturday. She’s averaging just over 18 points per game for the season
Munns on her performance: “I think (the season) has been going great. I think (the key) has been our teamwork and going out and having fun. I don’t have any worries now (because of the scholarship). I just get to go out there and play. The loss (to Timpview in the state 4-A quarterfinals last season) put it even more in perspective that we had a lot of work to do. There’s nowhere to go but up.”
Coach Kris Harding on Munns: “She shows leadership on and off the court. There’s a reason why she’s good; she puts the extra hours in. she’s encouraging and pushes the team. She has a strong presence in the key offensively. She has a great hook and drop step. If people triple or double down on her she does a good job seeing the floor.”
After high school: “Right now I’m leaning toward majoring in sports medicine.
At the University of Utah I’ve been told that I need to come in and step up right away.”
