Region 5 players to watch ...

There are quite a few good players from Region 5 but here are some names you may not have heard before.

Jami Mokofisi, Woods Cross -- Mokofisi is a solid post player who has nice moves around the basket. She can also step outside and hit the nice jumper. But, the most telling sign of her athleticism is how she gets rebounds. She grabs the ball with one hand first and then secures it with her other hand. Mokofisi is extremely athletic and when she stays out of foul trouble, she is a threat on both ends of the floor.

Amy Andrus, Sky View -- Andrus is just a sophomore but she doesn't play like it. She's aggressive, she's not afraid to get physical and she plays hard. Despite being undersized for a post player (she's just 5-foot-9), she takes the ball up strong and her specialty is getting fouled on made baskets. She's good under the boards and she's good at cleaning them up, too.

Jen Bell, Bonneville -- Bell has been a key element of the Lakers' success and is a big reason why Bonneville is in the hunt for a playoff spot. She's averaging 13.1 points a game and is the most consistent player for the Lakers.
