SDSU, WIU Remain in First Place in League Standings

Western Illinois earned a 64-51 victory over Southern Utah Saturday afternoon in Macomb, IL, in the Summit League Game of the Week.

Amanda Walker scored a team-high 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-5 from behind the arc for the Westerwinds. Stephanie Lovingood scored 13 points and grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds in the victory.

Caitlyn Sears led the Thunderbirds with 12 points, while Challis Pascucci added 11 points and a team-high 9 rebounds.

Western improves to 10-11 on the season and 8-2 in the league, while Southern Utah drops to 5-16 overall and 3-7 in the league.
