IUPUI 71, Southern Utah 46
IUPUI claimed a 71-46 Summit League victory over visiting Southern Utah Monday night in Indianapolis.
The Jaguars were led by Julia Whitted with 27 points and nine rebounds, while Christina Cunningham poured in 18 points of her own. Jernisha Cann scored 10 points, dished out seven assists and recorded four steals in the win.
Caitlyn Sears had a team-high 14 points for the Thunderbirds, while Anne Westwood tallied a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The Jags forced 18 turnovers by the T-Birds, while only committing six in the game.
IUPUI improves to 11-12 on the season and 7-4 in league play, while Southern Utah falls to 5-17 overall and 3-8 in the league. |
