Jadie Parsons first commitment for class of 2009

Jadie Parsons verbally committed to sign a letter of intent with Southern Utah University. 

Jadie  averaged 13.9 pts, 5 assists and 2.5 steals per game last season for South Sevier High while leading them to consecutive 22-2 records and back to back Utah 2A state championships.  Parsons shot 43% from 3, 53% from the field and 81% from the free throw line. South Sevier's record while Parsons has played is 64-8, she started two of the three years. 

Among Jadie's basketball honors are the following:

2008 Salt Lake Tribune 2A MVP
2008 Deseret Morning News 2A MVP
2008 2A Tournament MVP
2007 Salt Lake Tribune 2A First Team All State
2007 Deseret Morning News 2A First Team All State,
2007 2A All Tournament Team
2006 Salt Lake Tribune Second Team All State
2006 Deseret Morning News 2A Third Team All State
2006 2A All Tournament Team

Jadie has a 3.98 gpa

Jadie will join former Metro players Caitlyn Sears, Jamie Sagers, Cassie Platt, Morgan Wood and Amanda Farish as T-Birds at Southern Utah University.

Congratulations to Jadie on your scholarship.  She is the first player in the class of 2009 to commit to a d-1 school. Her commitment brings the total number of 2009 Girls Metro players that have received scholarships to 1
