NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Recruiting Calendar

August 1, 2008 - July 31, 2009

(a)     August 1 through September 15, 2008:


Quiet period


(b)     September 16, 2008, through April 21, 2009, [except for (1),
          through (5) below]:

          Women’s basketball staff members shall not exceed 100
          recruiting-person days.  A recruiting person day is 
          defined as one coach engaged in an off-campus recruiting
          activity of a women’s basketball prospect on one day; 
          two coaches engaged in recruiting activities on the same
          day shall use two recruiting days.


Evaluation period


          (1)    September 16 through October 6, 2008:

                   October 3-5, 2008:  Evaluations permitted at nonscholastic
                   women’s basketball events.


Contact period


          (2)    November 10-13, 2008:
              
          (3)    December 24-26, 2008:

          (4)    March 1 through April 2, 2009:
                
          (5)    April 3-16, 2009, [except for (a) and (b) below]:

                   (a)   One women’s basketball event certified by the 
                           NCAA (Bylaw 30.18) held in conjunction with,
                           and conducted in the host city of the NCAA
                           Division I Women’s Basketball Championship

                   (b)   April 10-12, 2009:

          Note:  Evaluations permitted at nonscholastic women’s basketball  events -- April 17-19, 2009.

                with a prospect who is enrolled in the institution’s summer
                term (i.e., summer session or summer bridge program) and 
                has signed a National Letter of Intent or other written
                commitment to attend the institution.
