We will be providing blog entries from some of our players as they go through their college seasons.

Here is an entry from Morgan (Wood) Slade as she enters Southern Utah University:

I'm currently attending Southern Utah University and playing basketball and have been asked to share a little bit about my college experience. First of all college is awesome! I love my classes, and I'm so excited to learn all I can.  The professors at SUU are amazing and "most" of them really care about their students.  I'm currently double majoring in Criminal Justice and Electronic Engineering.

As far as my basketball experience goes, it couldn't be better! I play for the best coaches hands down.  My team mates are awesome and the chemistry on our team is amazing.  Every Monday and Wednesday we meet at 6:45 am to lift weights, on Wednesdays we condition on the track. When we aren't conditioning on the track we condition in the gym.  After we are done with conditioning everyday we split up into our assigned teams and play ball. Each team member also has an individual workout time twice a week with one of the the coaches to help us with our specialized positions.

I've already learned so much here at SUU; both in basketball and academically.  Being a collegiate athlete is such a great privilege. I feel so blessed to have these awesome experiances in my life!

Love,
Morgan (Wood) Slade #10
