Tyler Haws has verbally comitted to BYU . Tyler will sign a letter of intent with the Cougars in November.
Tyler was selected as the 2008 Utah Gatorade Player of the Year, 2008 Deseret News Utah Mr. Basketball and is a two-time Salt Lake Tribune class 5A boys basketball MVP.
Tyler has led Lone Peak to back-to-back 5A state championships and was selected as one of 100 players in the nation to participate in the NBA Players Camp in June.
Tyler will join current Metro player Nate Austin and former Metro player Jackson Emery as Cougars at BYU.
Congratulations to Tyler on your scholarship. He is the third player in the class of 2009 to commit to a d-1 school. His commitment brings the total number of 2009 Boys Metro players that have received scholarships to 3.
