SUMMARY: Known for his competitiveness and clutch play, Jackson Emery is a quick player and solid defender with outstanding leaping ability. A good shooter from long range, he also has the athleticism and creativity to convert inside when going to the basket. The top player in Class 4A from the state of Utah as a senior, he was a solid contributor as a freshman prior to leaving for a two-year Church mission.



FRESHMAN - (2005-2006): Provided a consistent spark for BYU and was a top perimeter defender as a true freshman in 2005-06 ... played in 28 of 29 games with six starts ... averaged 2.8 points and 1.5 rebounds ... scored in double figures twice and led BYU in rebounds and assists once each.

Before BYU
(Lone Peak HS): All-American nominee ... named the 2005 Mr. Basketball (Deseret Morning News), 4A-MVP (Salt Lake Tribune) and All-Valley (Daily Herald) while leading the Knights to the Class 4A State Championship his senior year ... averaged 20.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists while recording 86 steals, nearly four a game, and 40 blocks during the season ... scored 24.8 points per game during the state tournament to earn MVP honors, finishing with 27 points on 7-of-11 shooting, 4-of-6 from three-point range, 9-of-10 free throws, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 5 steals and 1 block in the title game against Box Elder ... knocked down a 40-foot shot at the first-period buzzer, and followed that with another clutch three-pointer just before the halftime horn ... all-time Lone Peak steals leader and second all-time in scoring ... career highlights of 11 steals, 30 points and one triple-double ... graduated with honors (3.957 GPA) ... involved in Operation Smile ... also played for the Salt Lake Metro basketball club.
