Griffins Improve to 5-0 with 74-48 Win

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Westminster improved to 5-0 for the first time in school history thanks to a 74-48 win over Vanguard on Friday evening. The Griffins had four players reach double figures in extending the school record for wins to begin a season to five. Vanguard falls to 0-1 with the loss.

Geoff Payne led Westminster with 18 points and had nine rebounds. Nate Sanchez went for 14 points and five rebounds off the bench. Wes Anderson scored 11 points and Blair Prowse totaled 10. Conner Nielsen led everybody with 10 rebounds.

Westminster next faces ninth-ranked Concordia on Saturday, November 15. That game will tipoff at 4:00 p.m. in Las Vegas, Nevada.
