SEATTLE - University of Washington men's basketball coach Lorenzo Romar announced the newest class of incoming student-athletes, which consists of three prep standouts and one junior college transfer, have signed letters of intent and are expected to enroll in time for the 2009 fall academic quarter.

The year's class is comprised of Abdul Gaddy, a 6-3 point guard from Tacoma, Wash., Charles Garcia, a 6-9 junior college forward from Los Angeles, Clarence Trent, a 6-7 forward from Gig Harbor, Wash. and C.J. Wilcox, a 6-5 guard from Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Gaddy, currently a senior at Bellarmine Prep, is listed by most scouting services as the second-best point guard and one of the top overall prep prospects in the country. He averaged 23 points, five assists and two steals per game and was a first-team all-state selection last season.
