DSC men snare first win DECEMBER 5, 2008
The DSC men got the monkey of its back as it led Nebraska-Kearney most of the way in a 92-81 victory in Golden, Colo. on Friday.
"The guys could taste a win and we really went out and earned it," said DSC assistant coach Mike Olson. "Every run Nebraska-Kearney had we answered."
Kevin Lindquist led the way with 14 points and six rebounds. Bowie Jeffs added 13 points and five assists. Adam Ross (12 points), Ben Hartman (11 points, seven assists) and Tom Whitehead (10 points) rounded out the double-digist scorers for DSC.
As a team, DSC shot 58 percent from the field, 50 from 3-point range and 71.4 percent from the line.
DSC improves to 1-4 with the win, while the Lopers fell to 2-4.
DSC takes on Metro State today at 7 p.m. in Denver.
