Despite loss Bruins play well
Twin Falls, ID. (December 6, 2008) #19 Salt Lake Community College Bruins (8-4) fell short against Foothill College 66 to 73. The Salt Lake women played well and were only down by one at the half. Through most of the game, the Bruins continued to stay close and put pressure on Foothill.
Despite the loss, Kelsey Sparkman and Nicole Brady each played solid games. Sparkman lead the team with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Brady had her second double-double of the season by scoring 20 points and racking up 10 rebounds.
For the game, Salt Lake shot 45% and had 31 rebounds. Foothill had 17 offensive rebounds which created second chance points and helped to seal the win. Despite that, Coach Specketer said “the team played really well we just didn’t get the win.”
The Bruins are off till December 29-31 when they travel to the Pima College Tournament.
