Biggest sports thrill:  “Down in St. George just this last weekend. Our guard Carson Holden threw me a pass off the backboard (for a dunk).”

Best advice I’ve ever received: “Never take a play off.”

Last week: The high-flying Bronson helped the Bears improve to 8-0 with four wins. He averaged 11 points per game in wins over Bonneville, Salem Hills, Timpview and Pine View.

Bronson on his performance: “We’re just basically having fun. If we don’t win a championship as long as we have fun and give it our all then that’s the best you can do. We’re all gelling together. (The seniors) have played together since the third grade. We know where everybody is going to be at and we have each other’s backs. I enjoy dunking but it’s usually because we get a stop on defense and a fast break. It’s an energizer, so it’s a bonus to the team.”

Coach Van Park on Bronson: “He’s really worked hard to get his knee in shape (after injuring it last year) and to perfect his game. He’s a tremendous passer and he’s very unselfish. He’s so long and quick to the ball that he gets his hands on a lot of balls. He brings a lot of experience and life lessons on the basketball floor.”

After high school: “I’ll probably go to college and have a family.”
