Preps of the week

SAMMIE JENSEN, Grantsville, basketball:

This senior's greatest strength is that she can do so many things to help her team win basketball games.

"She can play anywhere for me," said Grantsville head coach Kenzie Newton. "She can hit the 3, and then she can post up inside. That's been big for us, especially when we have some mismatches."

It's also valuable to have a point guard who is 6 feet tall.

"That's a really positive thing," Newton said. "She's also done a really good job as far as leadership. ... She's tried to bring the girls together, and she's positive. She leads by example."

The 4.0 student recorded a double-double with 20 points and 19 rebounds in the Cowboys' win over Canyon View. Jensen also runs track.

"She's just a good kid," Newton said. "She's fun to coach."
