The Salt Lake Women's Basketball team lose a close game despite a great comeback

Tucson, AZ. (December 30, 2008)  #22 Salt Lake basketball team (8-6) lost a close game against Mesa College 64-67 despite a great comeback.

Leading the team was sophomore Nicole Brady and freshman Kate Pawlowski .  Brady had a break-out game with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks.  "She had a monster game for us tonight," said Head Coach Betsy Specketer. Pawlowski started the game for a sick Dayna Burgess and she ended the night with 11 points.  She was 2 of 5 from the three-point line.

As a whole the team shot 50% and they staged a big comeback in the last minutes of the second half.  The Salt Lake Women came up a bit short tonight, but all-in-all it was a great game according to Coach Specketer.

The Salt Lake women's basketball team plays one last game before the New Year against Eastern Arizona at 10:45 a.m. tomorrow .
