Girls basketball: West Wendover sharpshooter drawing big attention Interesting story in the Las Vegas Review Journal about Danika Sharp, a junior at West Wendover High School, just across the Utah border.
Sharp, who plays for her father, John, at the tiny school, was averaging 31.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game for the Wolverines.
During the summer, she plays for the Salt Lake Metro club team with many of Utah's top girls basketball players.
Although she plays at a small school, Sharp is starting to draw the attention of college recruiters, including coaches from BYU, New Mexico, Wyoming, San Diego, Pacific, UNLV and East Carolina.
