On Saturday, January 31, Westminster will be hosting a Basketballapalooza. That evening both Westminster basketball teams will be facing Lewis-Clark State in the Behnken Field House. The games are part of the Pink in the Paint for Breast Cancer Awareness, a Swing for Life event. The women’s team will be wearing pink jerseys while the men’s team will have pink warm-ups and the coaches will wear pink shirts. A silent auction and raffle will take place throughout the evening, with all proceeds going directly to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.

Students are encouraged to wear your Nest shirts to the game. Everyone in a Nest shirt will be eligible to win prizes, including Best Buy gift cards. If you don’t already have a Nest shirt, the first 200 students will receive one free. There will also be free pizza and subs staring at 7:00 p.m. in the Special Events room in the HWAC. There will be halftime entertainment, contests, drawing, and the change to shoot from half-court for the chance to win $100.

So don’t miss Basketballapalooza on Saturday, January 31, starting at 5:30 p.m. as the No. 21 Westminster women’s basketball team faces No. 17 Lewis-Clark State. The No. 1 Westminster men’s basketball team takes the court at 7:30 p.m. against Lewis-Clark State.
