Metro player Jen Hazlett was selected Standard Examiner All Area MVP. Congratulations to Jen on her selection.

   Year:    Junior

   Position:    Small forward

   Height:    5-foot-11

   On the court:   

   Hazlett, a two-year starter and two-time All-Area selection who also played some shooting guard, averaged 13.9 points (season-high 29 versus Davis) on 42.5 percent shooting — 34.7 percent on 3-point attempts (state 5-A leading 50 3s) — and 62.3 percent free-throw shooting for the Titans (19-4 overall).

   Coach Rob Reisbeck’s comments: “Jen was our outside threat this season, and took on more of a leadership role. She was a very big part of what we accomplished on both ends of the floor.”
