Quiet Period / NCAA Basketball Recruiting

The evaluation period and old recruiting calendar for the recruiting year ending July 31, 2009 has been completed.
August 1, 2009 begins the new recruiting calendar year for NCAA basketball. The recruiting year runs through July 31, 2010. The new year starts with a quiet period. The quiet period ends on September 9, 2009 for the boys and September 16, 2009 for the girls.
Quiet period. The college coach may not have any in-person contact with you or your parents off the college's campus. The coach may not watch you play or visit your high school during this period. You and your parents may visit a college campus during this time. A coach may write or telephone you or your parents during this time.
