McKenzie Jessop Named Frontier Conference Player of the Week

WHITEFISH, MT.– McKenzie Jessop of Westminster College was named the Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. This is the second straight week a Griffin has won the award following Keshia Catten last week.
Jessop is a 5’11” senior guard from Murray, Utah. Westminster went 2-0 for the opening weekend of conference play with a 68-50 win over MSU-Northern and an 84-54 win over the University of Great Falls.
For the week, she averaged 22.5 points and 11 rebounds per game. Jessop hit 68 percent of her field goals (15 of 26), 50 percent of her three-point field goals (3 of 6) and 86 percent of her free throws (12 of 14). She scored a career high 30 points against MSU-Northern.
