STREAK SHOOTER -   Canyon View senior Cassie Holmes had a run of points that doesn't happen very often and it propelled the Falcons past Dixie on Thursday. She scored 11 straight at a stretch that spanned the second and third quarters to help CV stay unbeaten in Region 9 play at 5-0.

While she finished with 19 points, four off her season high set against Pine View on Jan. 7, Holmes knew when to back off, finishing with only one point in the fourth quarter on a free throw.

"I was more aware when people were guarding me (tighter)," she said.

The Region 9 race isn't about to slow her down, either.

"All of our games will be tough. None will be easy," Holmes said.
