Catten Named Player of the Week for Second Time

WHITEFISH, MT.– Keshia Catten of Westminster College was named the Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Catten is a 5’8” senior guard from Murray, Utah. Westminster went 2-0 for the weekend with an 85-64 win over Montana Tech and an 82-71 win over the University of Montana Western.
For the week, she averaged 18.5 points per game. Catten hit 67 percent of her field goals (14 of 22) and 62 percent of her three-point field goals (8 of 13).
Catten won the weekly honor on January 4 to begin a stretch that has now reached three consecutive weeks a Griffin has received the honor. McKenzie Jessop won the award last week.
Also nominated: Zivile Gaizutyte of Montana State-Northern, McKenzie Gentry of the University of Great Falls, Alysha Green of Carroll College, Shannon Hildreth of Rocky Mountain and Jenessa Todd of Montana Tech.
Westminster is back in action on Thursday, January 21 when they host Carroll College in the Behnken Field House at 5:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on College Fanz as the NAIA Game of the Week and they will be attempting to set a new attendance record in Behnken.
