Tigers 50, Grizzlies 42
At Ogden, Logan only scored six points in the first quarter and five in the third, and trailed the entire time in a tough loss to the Tigers.
“We just didn’t come out,” Logan head coach Kelly Bennett said. “Gave them a good lead in the first quarter again.”
Logan played better in both the second and fourth quarters, scoring 15 and 16 points, respectively, but the bad quarters in between put the Grizzlies in too big of a hole.
Freshman Lauren Mott was perfect for the night, shooting 5-for-5 from the field and 4-for-4 from the foul line for a total of 14 points.
“She was perfect on everything,” Bennett said. “That’s pretty impressive for a little freshman. She was solid. She’s just scrappy. She’ll try really hard to take the ball to the basket.”
