While her scoring dipped from 10.5 ppg during the 2008-09 campaign to 8.7 ppg this season, Rudd proved to be a vital cog on the defensive end of the floor.

"She worked really hard," Phillips said. "This year she improved on her defense a lot and with her hustle plays, and that was huge for us. She did a great job of focusing on the defensive end and stepped it up for us."

Rudd averaged 3.0 apg, 2.8 spg and 2.7 rpg. She shot 41 percent from 3-point range and 38 percent from the field overall.
